TALLADEGA, Ala. -- So much for NASCAR's young guns.
Five days after 47-year-old Rusty Wallace won at Martinsville, 47-year-old Ricky Rudd drove to the pole position for Sunday's Aaron's 499 at Talladega Superspeedway.
``For the old guys, it's been a pretty neat week,'' said Rudd, moments after holding off Michael Waltrip and Dale Earnhardt Jr. for the top speed. ``I don't think age has anything to do with it.''
Rudd's Ford notched the first pole position for the Wood Brothers, one of stock car racing's pioneer teams, since 1984 (Buddy Baker) and earned his first-career pole at the superspeedway with a speed …
