Moldova sells MDL 120.93m in T-bills, yields rise.

(ADPnews) - Sep 17, 2009 - The Moldovan central bank, BNM, said it sold MDL 120.93 million (USD 10.8m/EUR 7.4m) in four Treasury bill issues on Tuesday, above its target offer of MDL 97 million, as yields on all issues rose, newswire SeeNews reported.

Primary dealers placed bids for a total of MDL 161.2 million worth of government securities in the auction, BNM said in a statement. The central bank, which sells the T-bills on behalf of the Finance Ministry, offered 21-day, 91-day, 182-day and 364-day T-bills.

The yield on the 21-day T-bills climbed to 2.82% from 2.46% at the previous auction on September 8. Dealers placed bids for …
