Qld: Crash claims girl's life on Sunshine Coast

A 12-year-old girl has died and a man is in a critical condition after a single-vehicle
crash on the Sunshine Coast.

Police say the vehicle with three people inside hit a concrete pylon at Caloundra this afternoon.

The girl died in an ambulance on the way to Nambour hospital.

The 47-year-old male driver was flown from Nambour hospital to Brisbane with life threatening
internal and head injuries.

A 47-year-old woman is in a stable condition at Nambour hospital with internal and
spinal injuries.



The accident brings the state's holiday road toll to two.
