Help for unemployed: Outplacement and executive coaching company Challenger, Gray & Christmas Inc. will offer free job search advice from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today. AT&T distributes phones in Robbins: AT&T said it is providing prepaid wireless phones to Robbins residents as it works to restore phone and Internet service in the village. Service was knocked out as a result of Saturday's storm. The company said it is distributing phones at the Robbins Village Hall, 3327 W. 137th St., and the William Leonard Public Library, 13820 Central Park Ave. AT&T said it's also providing prepaid phones to residents of the village's St. Peter Claver Courts senior housing facility. Customers with questions about their phone service can contact AT&T at (800) 288-2020.
Stocks hit high for year: Major stock indexes edged higher in light trading Monday, with the Dow Jones industrial average rising 26.98, or 0.3 percent, to finish the day at 10,547.08. It was the Dow's highest close since Oct. 1, 2008.
